# Consumable Animations

Dark Future includes immersive animations for <mark style="color:yellow;">**every consumable**</mark> in the base game and Phantom Liberty, featuring 9 animations and over 80 visually held items that closely match the items you use.

Animations are automatically played when consuming an item. If multiple items are consumed in the same menu session, the most unique animation is selected.

Because these animations block movement and other gameplay, they are kept **very brief** (3 - 5 seconds).

Consumable animations can be configured to play less (or more) frequently, or disabled, via Mod Settings.

By default, the system <mark style="color:yellow;">**prevents the same animation from playing back-to-back**</mark> in a short amount of time. If you buy 6 burritos from a vending machine and eat all of them, you will only see an animation for the first one.
